Lake Norman is our home water — the most popular lake in the Charlotte area, and where most of our lessons and rentals happen.
Ramsey Creek Park — our preferred spot
18441 Nantz Rd, Cornelius, NC 28031. A public boat launch with easy walk-in access, right on the south end of Lake Norman. This is where most of our sessions launch from.
Lake Norman State Park
We also launch from Lake Norman State Park on the north end of the lake — a good option if it's closer to where you're staying, or if you'd rather avoid the Cornelius boat traffic.

Ramsey Creek Park (18441 Nantz Rd, Cornelius, NC 28031) is our preferred spot — it has easy walk-in access for carrying boards down to the water. We also launch from Lake Norman State Park. Prefer your own dock or lake house? We can launch there too, as long as there's a walkable path down to the water.
How far is Ramsey Creek Park from Charlotte?
Ramsey Creek Park sits in Cornelius, NC, on the south end of Lake Norman — about a 30 minute drive from uptown Charlotte, no travel fee.
Can I book a private dock or lake house on Lake Norman instead?
Yes. We regularly launch from private property with owner permission — just make sure there's a walkable path down to the water, like a beach, dock, or steps down rocks at the shoreline, for safe board entry and retrieval.
